2017 Convention Review

Convention 2017

The ODC Convention 2017 was hosted at the Château Laurier in Ottawa June 11-13 during the year of the Canada 150 celebrations.  The event was a huge success drawing 170 delegates from across Canada (and a few from the United States).  Participants enjoyed another exciting business and social program.  The business program focused on innovation and on specific current dairy industry issues and included two keynote speakers – Max Valiquette spoke on “Innovate or Perish” and Chantal Hébert discussed “The Shifting Canadian Political Landscape”.  The Opening Reception on Sunday night was a birthday party (for Canada) and the Monday night banquet featured the incredible artistic talent of Jessica Gorlicky.  The traditional golf afternoon was hosted at the beautiful Rivermead Golf Club and several attendees toured the Diefenbaker Bunker which is Canada’s Cold War Museum.

The event was an overall success and would not have been possible without the generous and ongoing financial sponsorships.  A sincere thank you to all the following companies:
