ODC Programs

Milk and treatsOntario Dairy Council strives to provide programs and services to its members that will assist in the routine and efficient operation of their businesses.  ODC’s Continuing Education Program provides both distance learning and classroom offerings on topics such as milk grading and HTST training.  The Food Bank Program, a joint initiative with Dairy Farmers of Ontario and the Ontario Milk Transport Association, allows the industry to collectively play a part in supporting communities across the province.  Through cooperation with ODC processing members, Dairy Farmers of Canada’s Ontario School Milk Program works to ensure that milk is available to children in elementary schools.  ODC Advocacy efforts ensure that Ontario dairy processor interests and concerns are strongly delivered to government and other industry stakeholders.  And, ODC’s newest member service, a consumer website (www.dairystores.ca), plots company – owned retail dairy stores on a map of Ontario so consumers can search for and buy dairy products direct from the source.
